Prescriptions and referrals

It is important that you see a doctor in order to obtain a prescription or referral, to allow monitoring of any medical conditions and to discuss the suitability of medications and/or treatment.

If exceptional circumstances apply, we can send a request to your doctor for a script or referral to be written.  Please understand that we receive many requests each day and the doctor will need to check your medical history before making a decision about writing a script or referral.  For these reasons, the doctor will need sufficient time (at least 24 hours) to respond to your request.  Please also be aware that, based on your medical history, the doctor may feel a duty of care to consult with you before writing a prescription or referral.

Please note there may be a small fee for issuing a prescription or referral without a consult.  The receptionist will advise any applicable fees prior to collection.
