Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October 1, 2025

🌸 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🌸

At Kangaroo Island Medical Clinic, we’re proud to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month – a time to honour those affected, raise awareness, and champion life-saving research.

Every day, 58 Australians (including men) are diagnosed with breast cancer, and 9 lives are tragically lost. These aren’t just numbers – they’re our mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, friends, and neighbours.

We believe in patient-centred care, and that means standing with our community through every health journey. By supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s mission of Zero Deaths from breast cancer, we’re investing in hope, early detection, and better outcomes for all.

🎀 Here’s how you can help:

🧬Donate to fund world-class research in prevention, detection, and treatment

🩺Wear pink to spark conversations and show support

🎯Share this message to spread awareness and save lives

Together, we can make a difference. Because at Kangaroo Island Medical Clinic, teamwork is at the heart of everything we do, and excellence means striving for better health outcomes every day.

Let’s unite this October – for awareness, for research, and for every life touched by breast cancer 💗
