National Stroke Week

August 4, 2025

🧠 National Stroke Week | 5–11 August 2025
Know the signs. Save a life.
Stroke can strike anyone, anytime — and when it does, every second counts. This year, we’re joining the Stroke Foundation in raising awareness of the F.A.S.T. signs of stroke:

👉 Face: Check their face. Has their mouth drooped?
👉 Arms: Can they lift both arms?
👉 Speech: Is their speech slurred or do they understand you?
👉 Time: Time is critical. Call 000 immediately.

With nearly 100 strokes occurring every day in Australia, knowing the signs and acting fast can make all the difference. Age increases risk, but strokes don’t discriminate — they can affect anyone.

At Kangaroo Island Medical Clinic, we believe that exceptional healthcare begins with awareness and prevention. If you have questions or concerns about your risk factors, or it’s time for a regular health check, our team is here to support you.
