June is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month ![]()
![]()
At KI Medical Clinic, we’re committed to delivering exceptional healthcare for Kangaroo Island—and that includes raising awareness about preventable and treatable conditions like bowel cancer, Australia’s 4th most common type of newly diagnosed cancers.
Bowel screening saves lives.
If you’re aged 45–74, you’re eligible for a free bowel cancer screening kit—just ask at reception.
If you’re aged 40–44 or 75–85, you may still be eligible after a chat with your GP.
Bowel cancer doesn’t discriminate—it can affect people of all ages. That’s why early detection is key, and can save lives.
99% of bowel cancers can be successfully treated in their early stages, but fewer than 50% are detected early!
