🌟 Meet Dr Christiane Merz – Caring for Our Community 🌟
We’re delighted to welcome Dr Christiane Merz as a regular locum GP at KI Medical Clinic!
Christiane brings over 25 years of experience and a passion for patient-centred care. Originally from Germany, she trained at the University of Heidelberg and earned a PhD at the German Cancer Research Centre. Her career spans hospital medicine, cardiology, and occupational health, and she is a Fellow and examiner for the RACGP.
Christiane’s clinical interests include chronic disease management, cardiology, preventive health, musculoskeletal care, aged care, and palliative medicine—areas that matter most to our community.
She has a strong connection to rural South Australia and also works in remote Aboriginal communities, reflecting her commitment to accessible, culturally respectful healthcare for all.
Outside of medicine, Christiane loves hiking, kayaking, photography, and the arts. She speaks German fluently and understands French and Italian.
